Faluda is a delicacy from Punjab but it very popular among sub Continent communities. Faluda dish consist of desi ice-cream (Kulfi), some other ingredients and the topping of Faluda strings. It is more often served in hot summer afternoons and evenings. Note that it is not very easy to achieve 100% results unless you try to make it few times. Perfection like served at a Faluda shop is only possible if you do not get disappointed with your first attempt. Change in the temperature and few other factors make it a success or a failure. Before you embark on your first try, make sure you understand the recipe from top to bottom. Preparing topping for Faluda, corn flour and water mixture is cooked until it turns into very thick gravy and then the mixture is filled in the Faluda machine, which has tiny holes. Machine is then fixed over an earthenware pot, which is filled with ice cold water. When the mixture is passed through Faluda machine, long threads of Faluda fall into the ice cold water, which is then refrigerated until use.
